• Bachelors degree in CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years programming experience
• 1+ years PHP experience
• Some experience with AJAX/Javascript/XML and jQuery is a plus
• Database proficiency required,
• CakePHP and CodeIgnitor skills would be great
• Familiarity with a Linux environment would also be pretty great

With around 5-10 inquiries a day, 40 parties a weekend and huge database, this person will have to be equipped with a sales mentality, incredible organization skills and an entrepreneurial spirit. **This position doesn’t necessarily mean that they need to work out of ARK’s office.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Handling accounts receivables with the venues
• Developing and maintain social media pages
• Possible general office assistance (ordering supplies, furniture, and running errands)
• Plan and assist with all event inquiries
• Assisting in expanding BPB into different markets
• Follow-up with past events
• Ability to create strategic partnerships with local companies

Qualifications and Expectations:

• 1 - 2+ Years in event planning would be nice
• Bachelors Degree with a focus on marketing is also a big plus
• Minimum commitment of 10-15 hours per week in ArkNet Media’s HQ (Valley Stream, NY)

• Reviews production schedules and prepares requirements plans usually though use of a computerized inventory system
• Coordinates all functions of Shipping, including mostly domestic and soon to be international

• Oversees government rules and regulations for compliance purposes.
